Don’t Use Stereotypes to Judge People – Part II

Yes I am a lesbian,

but I don’t wear flannel.

and I like country music.

but I don’t drive a truck.

but I don’t hate men.

but I can’t fix your car.

but I don’t have a Mohawk.

and I have a dog.

but I don’t have a cat.

but I don’t hit on straight women.

and I hate musicales.

and I have a lot of straight friends.

and I have a lot of gay friends.

but I have no handyman skills at all.

but I think the word lesbian sounds funny.

but I prefer to say I am gay or homosexual.

and I do have short hair.

but I don’t have any tattoos.

but I am not angry at the world.

and I am a very happy person.

I am a lesbian, but I may not be what you expect.  Don’t use stereotypes to judge me or anyone else.
